Details

There were 915 houses in Mayo sold in the twelve months to November 2020 and 10 percent of these were new dwellings  

The average residential property price in the county was €149,000, and that’s well below than the national average price of a house, which stands at  €294,000 

444 residential address points in Mayo were added to the GeoDirectory database in 2020. 

The residential vacancy rate in Mayo was 12 % in December 2020, again, that figure is significantly higher than the national average of 5%.  

The statistics are provided in the latest GeoView Residential Buildings Report published by GeoDirectory and EY-DKM today.

The lowest average property prices nationally were located in rural areas, with the average price of a house in Longford (€123,000), Leitrim (€126,000 ), and Roscommon (€129,000) recording the lowest prices.
