A woman in her mid 50s is due in court today charged in connection with a hit and run in County Galway last month.
A woman was killed when she was knocked down near a pub in Furbo.
This hit and run happened while a woman in her mid 50s was walking on the right hand side of the road of the R336 at Na Forbacha on Wednesday,December 16th.
The pedestrian was heading towards Spiddal but died after she was knocked down by a car near Pairicin's Bar.
It happened after she was dropped to this general area at around 6.30 that evening.
Gardai believe a 2004 to 2007 model Toyota Corolla was involved in this crash.
A woman was arrested on Sunday December 27th and was later charged in connection with this collision.
She appeared before a special sitting of Galway District Court the next morning and was remanded in custody with consent to bail.
She will reappear before the same court today via video link.
