Taoiseach Micheal Martin is enjoying a boost in popularity in the latest political opinion poll.

The Behaviour and Attitudes poll for The Sunday Times suggests support for Fianna Fail is up three points to 22 percent.

Leo Varadkar's suffered a ten per cent drop in popularity - and Fine Gael's down four points to 27 percent.

Sinn Fein has gained two points and now stands at 32 percent to top the poll.

The Sunday Times' political editor Stephen O'Brien says the Taoiseach's improved rating could be down to his handling of Covid-19 restrictions.
