31,000 people, whose driver theory tests were postponed, need to be first-in-line when Covid restrictions ease.
That's according to Mayo Sinn Fein TD Rose Conway-Walsh, who says it's unfair that those who had their theory test cancelled due to lockdown are now being pushed to the back of the queue.
The Mayo TD is asking why applicants, whose tests were postponed, are now being given new dates for February or later, instead of when restrictions are lifted.
This is at a time when over 90,000 learner drivers across the State are waiting to sit their driving test.
Learner drivers cannot take the driving test without having first passed the theory test.
Deputy Conway-Walsh has called on Transport Minister Eamon Ryan to intervene, to ensure the process is fair.
