There has been 378 new cases of Covid-91 in the Republic and one additional death.
The Chief Medical Officer has warned that the average five-day Covid-19 case count is rising - "a worrying development which has persisted for the last few days".
124 of the cases are in Dublin, 34 in Donegal, 23 in Louth, 19 in Cork, 19 in Limerick and the remaining 159 cases are spread across 20 other counties.
There are 15 new cases in Galway, twelve in Roscommon and less than five in Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim.
As of 2pm today, 249 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 31 are in ICU. 5 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
