A Mayo science student won a prestigious national award for her communication skills in delivering her own research to a large virtual audience.
GMIT student Tamara Jordan examined the safety of daily use cosmetics and presented her findings at this year’s Science Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Network Awards.
She was one of 60 students from nine Higher Education institutes to present their research projects to a virtual audience of over 600 final year students and academic research supervisors.
The Bohola woman evaluated ten cosmetic products and examined, among other things, their safety and quality.
Tamara Jordan completed her final year Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science at GMIT this year.
