Met Eireann has issued two status orange wind warnings for tomorrow as Storm Aiden is set to make landfall.
The warning will be in effect across Mayo, Galway, Sligo, Donegal and Clare from 8am tomorrow morning until 4pm tomorrow afternoon.
Tomorrow morning and afternoon strong southwest to west winds will reach mean speeds of 65 to 80km/h, with severe and damaging gusts of 100 to 130km/h expected.
Elsewhere, an orange alert also comes into effect for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Waterford, Cork and Kerry at the earlier time of between 5am and 10am tomorrow morning.
The rest of the country will be under a status yellow wind warning with severe gusts possible from 1am tonight until 3pm tomorrow afternoon.
