Up to 300 properties in Ballina are facing disruption to water supply today following a burst watermain on Emmet Street.

Irish Water and Mayo County Council are carrying out repair work on the ground to restore water supply to properties in Emmet Street, Bridge Street, Pearse Street, Bachelor’s Walk, Arbuckle Row, Castlecourt, Beleek Lodge, Dillon Terrace, Nally Street, Humbert Street, Belleek and the surrounding areas.

Repairs are expected to be completed by 4pm today and it may take two to three hours after this to restore normal supply to all customers affected by the burst.

Irish Water are reminding people in the area to continue following the HSE COVID-19 advice and ensure frequent handwashing.
