The National Public Health Emergency team will make a call on Thursday on whether or not Level 3 is working.
The national 14 day incidence rate is now 167 per 100 thousand people, a 43 percent increase in the past week.
825 cases were confirmed yesterday evening, along with 1 additional death.
Across the region there were 27 new cases in Galway, 17 in Roscommon, 13 in Sligo, 11 in Mayo and 9 in Leitrim.
The latest county by county breakdown, excluding the new figures, shows a total of 1096 cases have been confirmed in Galway, 732 in Mayo, 542 in Roscommon, 282 in Sligo and 147 in Leitrim.
Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan says Level 3 has had some impact in Dublin, where it's been in place for four weeks.
However, he says cases are beginning to grow in the capital again.
