The Government must provide urgent support for Ireland West Airport Knock as part of Budget 2021 tomorrow.
That's according to the Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council Dara Mulvey.
The Coolaney-based councillor made the call following a meeting with the head of marketing at Knock airport Donal Healy.
Councillor Mulvey wants an expanded regional airports programme to address the financial losses at the airport, which has seen passenger numbers at IWAK drop by 90% over the summer.
He also wants the recommendations of the Aviation Taskforce Report implemented to support the regional airport.
