Met Eireann's warning of possible flooding across the region over the next 24 hours.

Up to 40mm of rain is forecast, with a Status Yellow alert in place for 12 counties, including Mayo and Sligo until 6am tomorrow morning.

Strong winds will also affect Atlantic coastal counties - two Status Yellow warnings are also in place, one affecting Mayo and Sligo until 9pm and one affecting Galway until 10pm.

Forecaster, Andrew Doran Sherlock, says it's not looking good for the rest of the week either.
