The winners of this year's Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Awards were announced this afternoon at the Powers Court Hotel in county Wicklow with a digital audience of more than 450 people.
The Online Business Transformation award was secured by Achill native Mary McHugh for her Irish Counselling & Psychotherapy Service. It was one of 5 national awards announced at today’s ceremony.
The Mayo branch of Network Ireland celebrated with Mary at a socially distanced gathering at the Pink Door Bed and Breakfast at the Quay in Westport.
Mary told Midwest News that she is delighted with the award and explained how the demand for her long established service to an online platform has risen significantly during the pandemic.
The annual ‘Trish Murphy Memorial Award for Outstanding Contribution’ was conferred on Emma O’Hagan, a Mental Health Campaigner from County Leitrim. Emma has spent several years raising tens of thousands of euro in aid of mental health awareness and sharing her experience of struggling with and learning to manage her own mental health.
