A Roscommon TD has hit out at plans from the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform to consider centralising EU Regional Funds in Dublin.
Sinn Fein Deputy Claire Kerrane branded the plans as 'disgraceful' in the Dail yesterday.
The Sinn Féin spokesperson on Rural Development says it would be another blow to rural Ireland and a failure to prioritise the needs and concerns of rural communities.
She highlighted the issue in the Dail yesterday with the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys.
Deputy Kerrane told Midwest News that any attempt to centralise badly needed EU funding in Dublin is absolutely outrageous.
