40 more cases of Covid-19 were confirmed yesterday, including one in Co Roscommon.
This brings the total number nationally to 26,838, while one further death was confirmed last evening.
The case in Roscommon is believed to be linked to Strokestown GAA club.
The club has confirmed that a non-playing member of the club has tested positive for the virus.
This brings the number of cases in Roscommon to 348.
Elsewhere in Connacht, the figure for Mayo is 584, Galway 501, Sligo 153 and Leitrim 85, but these figures refer to last Monday night, as there's a delay in reporting the county by county figures.
Dr Ronan Glynn, Acting Chief Medical Officer, says they remain concerned about both the number of cases being reported, and their distribution across the country.
