Gardai in Castlerea are appealing for witnesses following an incident in the town last Saturday morning.
Gardai were alerted to a man driving a vehicle at speed through the town shortly before 8am on Saturday morning.
Gardai proceeded to follow the vehicle, which then collided with a wall at the junction of Barrack Street and Church Road.
The driver fled the scene on foot.
