A Mayo woman has won the first ever virtual version of Big Brother.
Aoife Cheung survived a record 4 eviction votes before going on to claim the 5 thousand euro prize.
The Castlebar woman took part in the exclusive Irish version of the mobile game ran for the past few weeks as part of its trial before the worldwide launch.
Galway-based development studio ‘9th Impact’ teamed up with Endemol to produce the virtual game, which is akin to games like SIMS, as you create characters that interact virtually with each other.
Ms Cheung now works in Galway City for the co-working company Portershed and became aware of the app through her boss.
The 25-year old told Midwest News that she enjoyed the app so much she reapplied after initially being evicted, before going on to win the top prize.
