The death occurred yesterday (Fri) of a former Parish Priest of Kiltimagh Fr Paddy Kilcoyne.

Fr Kilcoyne passed away after a short illness. He had been serving as a curate in the Parish of Foxford, up to a few months ago.

He was one of the founders of Community Games in Mayo back in the 1970s.

One of the men who assisted Fr Paddy at that time was Ardagh based Bernie Filan.

Mr Filan has paid tribute to Fr Paddy on Midwest Radio.

Fr Paddy Kilcoyne is reposing at his family home in Ougham, Tubbercurry  and will be removed to the Church of the Holy Family, Kiltimagh arriving at 6pm on this evening (Saturday)

In accordance with H.S.E. directives relating to public gatherings a private Mass of the Resurrection will take place tomorrow Sunday at 3.30pm with private burial afterwards in the church grounds.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate Fr. Paddy’s life with extended family and friends will be held at a later date. His Requiem Mass on Sunday afternoon will be available to view on:
