As businesses reopen their doors with the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, Mayo County Council has introduced a new scheme to assist food businesses to get back on track.

Cafés, bars, hotels and restaurants can apply to the council for a licence to put tables and chairs on footpaths outside their premises, to allow for social distancing.

Adjacent parking spaces may also be reassigned to allow for more outdoor seating.

Within each of the Municipal Districts in Mayo, dedicated teams have been set up to help business owners in towns and villages to reopen to a new way of doing business.
