Companies that reopened during Phase 1 of the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions are experiencing less than half of their usual levels of business activity for this time of year.

A survey by Chambers Ireland shows a quarter of firms expect earnings to be 70 percent lower than usual over the next three months.

The survey show the drop in revenue is being felt strongest by those in the west, border counties and the south east, with smaller operators seeing the biggest reductions.
