Grants totalling €128,000 have been allocated for preserving and enhancing 14 buildings across Co Mayo.
The largest allocation of €50,000 is to repair the roof and outer walls of Holy Trinity Church in Westport, with grants also for a number of other historic churches and private houses county-wide.
Minister Joseph Madigan has allocated the funding under the Historic Structures Fund and Built Heritage Investment Scheme.

“The funding being announced today will support the conservation and enhancement of these 14 historic structures and buildings. It will also provide hundreds of hours of work for skilled craftspeople.
