Some of the Road Safety Authority's services begin reopening from today, as we move into phase two of the Government's road map for easing Covid-19 restrictions.

The National Driver Licence Service offices are opening on a phased basis.

20 NDLS centres have reopened from today - including Galway and Roscommon.

The Castlebar office is not opening until a later date.

Those who need to apply for a driving licence or learner permit must book an appointment in advance, and only debit or credit cards will be accepted - no cash.

NCT centres are also being opened on a phased basis.

15 centres have reopened today - including the NCT centres in Ballina, Galway and Athlone.

Only vehicles that had a test due date before 28th March will be tested initially.

The Driver Theory Test centres are also reopening from today.
