Gaeltacht communities are set to benefit from considerable financial investment following approvals from Údarás na Gaeltachta and the Irish government.
At a virtual meeting on Friday Údarás approved 10 new fulltime jobs with an investment of €737,000 in Gaeltacht companies, rising to €1.4m when the projects are underway.
The board approved administration grants of €365,000 for Ealaín na Gaeltachta and €535,000 for Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltachta.
Údarás na Gaeltachta also outlined that they were working to develop an Education and Youth Centre at An Cnoc in Indreabhán.
This coupled with the government announcement of the €4.7m stability fund for Irish summer colleges will bring around €7m investment to Irish speaking communities.
