Mayo / Roscommon Hospice has confirmed that its shops across the two counties will reopen on Tuesday 9th June.
The 12 charity shops were closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has severely impacted on the Hospice revenue.
However, the Hospice has confirmed today that the shops across Mayo and Roscommon will reopen on Tuesday week, 9th June, with the necessary procedures and protections in place to ensure the safety of customers, staff and volunteers.
Meanwhile, construction work has restarted on the new palliative care centre in Roscommon Town.
Work was suspended on the €6 million euro unit due to Government restrictions following the coronavirus outbreak.
However, the lifting of some restrictions has allowed construction workers to return to the site, and it's expected the new hospice unit will be completed by Summer 2021.
It will include an 8-bed in-patient unit providing respite and end of life services, as well as day care and community care.
