Trade Union Siptu says meat processors and dairy plants should take workers' temperatures at the factory gate.

 

The government's return-to-work protocols published yesterday already includes testing workers to see if they're feverish -- but Siptu says these checks should be more than a once-off.

 

The HSE task force in charge of managing meat plant outbreaks has met, and has started drawing up guidelines for controlling infection in the sector.
