The Taoiseach travels to Washington DC today for a pared-back schedule of St Patrick's Day celebrations.
The lack of a government and fears over the coronavirus have led to a much shorter trip than usual.
Tonight, Leo Varadkar attends the Ireland Funds Dinner in DC, which will also be attended by senior members of the Irish American business and political communities.
He'll also meet Donald Trump tomorrow at the White House.
Meanwhile, Mayo-based Minister Michael Ring has denied reports that he's travelling to Boston for St Patrick's Day events.
Minister Ring told Midwest News that he was not going in the first instance.
He said his name was published as one of the Ministers involved in the St Patrick's Day Overseas Programme this year, but this was incorrect.
