There's double delight in the West, as the National Lottery has confirmed that the winning ticket of last night's EuroMillions jackpot worth €17 million was sold in Connacht.
This is the first EuroMillions jackpot won in Ireland this year, and the 15th Irish win since the EuroMillions began in 2004.
The National Lottery says they need to inform the winning retailer and give the lucky ticketholder the time and space they need to let this win sink in, so they will announce in the coming days the location of the store that sold the golden ticket.
EuroMillions players across Connacht are urged to check their ticket to see if they've won this life-changing prize.
The winning numbers are 24, 26, 32, 43, 46 and the Lucky Star numbers are 6 and 10.
And separately, a player in Mayo scooped half a million euro after winning the EuroMillions Plus top prize last night.
The winning ticket was sold yesterday at the Easons store in Castlebar and is worth €500,000.
The National Lottery is advising the lucky ticketholders to sign the back of the ticket and contact their claims team to make arrangements to collect their prizes.
