The boil water notice in place on the Cleggan/Claddaduff water supply affecting approximately 500 customers in county Galway, has been lifted with immediate effect. Following consultation with the HSE, Irish Water and Galway County Council are advising customers that the drinking water can now be consumed as normal.

It was necessary to issue the boil water notice on Saturday, February 1, due to mechanical issues at the water treatment plant.
