Gerry McAnaney has been elected as the new President of the FAI.

 

The former Cobh Ramblers and Cork City player has been an FAI Council member for over twenty years.

 

He defeated Sligo Rovers chairman Martin Heraghty by 88 votes to 40 at the association's E-G-M.

 

McAnaney will take over from Donal Conway as FAI President.
