With the election campaign now underway, Mayo County Council says voters who wish to be included in the supplement to the Postal and Special Voters list have until 5 pm THIS EVENING (Thursday)to apply.
For those who are not registered to vote, the closing date for applications is next Wednesday 22nd January.
People who registered to vote between 7th May and 25th November last year will have their name included in the Supplementary Register, which will be published in time for the upcoming general election.
However, for people who applied to have their address changed, the change of address will not come into effect until 15th February - after the election - therefore, they must vote from their old address for this election.
Electors registered to vote in the electoral divisions of Ballinrobe, Garrymore and Kilcommon have been transferred to the Mayo Dáil constituency for the general election.
Voters can check their elector number and polling station online at www.checktheregister.ie
