Two separate status Yellow warnings have been issued by Met Eireann for western counties this afternoon.
A status Yellow Wind warning comes into effect across counties Mayo, Galway, Donegal and Kerry from 3pm this afternoon with south to Southwest winds of 50 to 65 km/hr and gusts 90 to 110 km/hr, strongest on exposed coasts and hills.
The Wind Warning will remain in place until 11am tomorrow (Saturday).
In addition a status Yellow Rainfall warnng also comes into effect from 3pm this afternoon for counties Mayo, Galway, Sligo and Donegal.
Heavy rain is predicted with accumulations of 40-50mm over the period with localised flooding. At the coast, high seas and strong to gale force southerly winds will combine to give a risk of coastal flooding.
The Rainfall warning over these counties remain in place until 3pm tomorrow afternoon (Sat)
