A major public rally to try and save the Cuisle Holiday Centre in Donamon will take place in Roscommon Town this Saturday.
The Save Cuisle Support Group has organised a march from the new Roscommon County Council Civic Headquarters at 1pm on Saturday, proceeding to the town square for a public rally.
The Irish Wheelchair Association is planning to close the Cuisle centre in Donamon at the end of this month - with the loss of over 40 jobs.
For over two decades, Cuisle has been a holidays and respite centre for people with physical disabilities and their families, while the facility also hosts parties and private functions.
The Save Cuisle Support Group is calling on the IWA to postpone closing the centre, and explore alternative solutions to keep the holiday resort open.
