Dawn Meats, Ballyhaunis and Kepak in Athleague are among 14 additional beef plants that have been approved for exporting beef to China.
The list of approved Irish meat plants was published today by the General Administration of Customs in China.
It follows an inspection trip by several inspectors from China in recent months - which coincided with protests outside some of the plants by beef farmers.
Agriculture Minister Michael Creed says this brings to 21 the number of Irish factories now approved to export beef to China to meet the growing demand for premium quality, safe and sustainably produced beef.
China is now Ireland's 5th biggest market for agri-food exports.
