The three candidates for the IFA presidency will take part in a series of debates in Connaught early next month.

As Galway-based Joe Healy draws near the end of his Presidency, the three candidates nominated for the position are John Coughlan from Cork, Tim Cullinan from Tipperary and Angus Woods from Wicklow.

All IFA members have a say in choosing the next President, and voting in IFA branches will take place between 25th November and 13th December.

Ahead of the voting, a number of debates will take place between the candidates - in this region, the Galway debate is in the Raheen Woods Hotel, Athenry on Monday 4th November, the following night Tuesday 5th November it's the Travellers Friend Hotel in Castlebar for Mayo farmers, and the debate for the Roscommon/ Sligo/Leitrim area is on Wed 6th November in the Bush Hotel, Carrick on Shannon.
