A 'personalised approach' to back pain treatment can have a significant impact.
That's according to a new study by the University of Limerick, published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.
Back pain is the most costly and disabling health condition in the world, with the costs topping that of cancer and diabetes combined.
In the study of over 200 people in Mayo - people who got personalised treatment, which matched their health needs, did better.
Those who received it were significantly less disabled when followed up after a year.
