The London to Ballaghadereen charity cycle in aid of Motor Neuron Disease and the Alzheimer's Society has smashed their goal of raising 100,000 by 50,000.

The charity cycle is well on the way across the midlands with dates in Athlone, Roscommon and finally Ballaghaderreen tomorrow.

The cycle was organised by Finbarr Holian from the Claddagh Ring pub in London, in memory of his brother-in-law Frank Kelly, who passed away from Motor Neurons disease.

You can donate to the cycle on their crowd funding page

Mr Holian told Midwest News this afternoon that it is vital to keep the fundraising effort going as they approach the home stretch.
