A new survey shows the number of burglaries in Mayo over the past decade was among the lowest in the country.
New research from home monitoring company PhoneWatch has found Dublin is the worst county in the country for break-ins - with more than 100,000 burglaries reported in the capital in the last ten years.
Dublin was followed by the commuter counties of Louth, Kildare and Wicklow.
The survey shows one in every five properties in Dublin has been targeted in the last decade, compared with just one in every 19 properties in Kerry.
Kerry was closely followed by Donegal and Mayo in the lowest burglary levels
