Thousands of people across the region will be up before dawn tomorrow morning for the annual Darkness Into Light walks.
Over 5,000 people in Mayo took part in the event last year, to raise funds for suicide prevention.
The pre-dawn walks get underway at 4.15am at 9 locations across Co Mayo - in Achill, Ballina, Castlebar, Clare Island, Claremorris, Belmullet, Inisturk, Swinford and Westport.
Four walks are planned in Co Roscommon - in Ballaghadereen, Boyle, Castlerea and Roscommon Town, with four also in Sligo - in Ballymote, Banada, Dromore West and Sligo Town, and walks will take place at 18 locations across Co Galway.
Darkness Into Light is the annual fundraising and awareness event for Pieta House, which now has 15 centres across Ireland, offering free counselling to those with suicidal tendencies and people engaging in self-harm.
Pieta also operates a Suicide Bereavement Counselling Service for people and families bereaved by suicide, and also operates a free 24-hour suicide helpline on 1800 247 247.
