Local Enterprise Offices across the country are now supporting over 36,000 jobs and over 7,100 small businesses.
That's according to the latest figures for 2018, announced by Minister Heather Humphreys.
This is the 5th year of employment growth for the Local Enterprise Offices, with 3,656 net jobs created last year.
The Local Enterprise Office in Mayo saw a net increase of 130 jobs in 2018, and now supports 1,224 jobs in 234 client companies.
An additional 80 jobs were created by companies supported by the Roscommon Local Enterprise Office.
There are 31 Local Enterprise Offices nationwide, operated by Enterprise Ireland and the local authorities, and they provide training, mentoring and financial assistance for entrepreneurs and small businesses who want to start, develop or grow their company.
