The search will resume this week in Canada for Breaffy man, David Gavin who got into difficulties while swimming in a lake in British Colombia last June (2017).
The 26 year old’s parents Michael and Angela, his partner Ciara O’Malley and her parents flew out to Canada yesterday, according to today’s Mayo News.
Travelling with them was experienced diver David McGloin from Donegal, who is expected to lead a team to co-ordinate the search.
A window of opportunity for the search is expected to appear in the coming month.
The level of the water in Kinbasket Lake reservoir should be at its lowest, at the depth of about ten feet, at the start of May.
David got into difficulty after jumping from a logging bridge over a river estuary that flows into Kinbasket Lake last June.
He and some friends were en route to a football tournament in Calgary, Alberta, when they stopped off for a swim.
