Orreco, the specialist sports data and performance company headquartered in Galway city , has been shortlisted in the prestigious 2018 US-Ireland Research Innovation Awards, organised by the Royal Irish Academy and the American Chamber of Commerce.
The awards recognise excellence in research innovation, creation and invention by an organisation, or as a result of US Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Ireland.
The awards are presented in three categories: Multinational Corporation; Higher Education Institute/Research Centre and Small and Medium Enterprise.
Orreco, which also has offices in London and Los Angeles, has been nominated in the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) category for building the world’s first AI coach for elite athletes and health-conscious consumers.
The awards will be announced at the American Chamber of Commerce annual awards dinner on Friday 18 May in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
