Dr. Gay Corr
Westbrook, Knocknacarra, Co. Galway and formerly of Feamore, Irishtown, Co. Mayo and GMIT where he served for over 30 years - passed away peacefully on 1st July 2024 at the Bons Secours Hospital Galway.
Deeply mourned by his loving wife Jo, much loved children Brendan, Damien, Ronán, Sinéad, Helen, and his sisters Anne, Mary and Helen.
Fondly and lovingly remembered also by his sons-in-law Garret and Keith, daughters-in-law Maureen, Mairéad and Stephanie and by his grandchildren.
A very proud grandfather to Shane, Joe, Éimear, Olivia, Celine, Josie, Patrick, Griffin, Éabha, Imogen, Jarlath, Senan, Róisín, Alannah and baby Grace (R.I.P.) all of whom he cherished.
Sadly, missed by the extended Corr and McNamara family, neighbours, good friends and former colleagues.

Reposing at ‘St. Anthony’s Room’ within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra on Thursday evening 4th July from 5 o’clock with removal at 7 o’clock into the Church.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Gay on Friday morning 5th July at 11 o’clock.
Following Mass, he will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery.

Gay was boss at RTC Galway when I was there many years ago
