Also to the extended Dillon families. May John enjoy eternal rest and peace.
John Dillon was so encouraging and supportive to me when I was a teenager, giving me one of my first Summer jobs (working alongside the late Tom McCormack) and as a golfing partner representing our beloved local club. I also have happy memories from the Golf Club over many years where I did my best at the piano to accompany his mellifluous tenor renditions of Harry Bellafonte songs, often in the early hours of the morning. That friendship and support never waned over the years, and will never be forgotten.
Requiescat In Pace.
A true gentleman
May he Rest In Peace

Some of us have known John since college days in Tuam.
He was always a lovely friend, sociable, pleasant, chatty and great fun, a real gentleman.
He had a lovely smile.
Down the years, we had many business contacts and also through his Travel Agency.
John was a great supporter of Knock Airport and served on its Board for a long number of years.
May Our Lady of Knock reward him now for all his dedicated work, Comfort and console his family and obtain for him a place in her Heavenly home.
Sadly, a light has gone out in Ballyhaunis.
He was a gentleman and a friendly presence in Ballyhaunis and beyond.
