May she rest in peace .
Sr Canice was a wonderful person, a brilliant teacher, a courageous leader, a talented artist. One of the gifts of an artist is to see beauty and potential in what, to the rest of us, are ordinary objects. Maybe that is why Sr Canice saw potential in some of us that was well hidden but which she recognised, encouraged and developed. For that I am eternally grateful.
Sr Canice was a multi faceted person.
She taught in a most holistic way,
Life Skills were not officially on the curriculum ,but everybody who studied under Sr Canice were definitely skilled for life.
She leaves a tremendous legacy, I’m so grateful to be one of the beneficiaries.

We have the fondest memories of her in Belmullet where she was a kind and dedicated educator. She was also a very talented artist and we are proud to have some of her works in our home. May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Sr. Canice in Our Lady’s Secondary School in Belmullet, after she had retired. She was a kind, gentle, and friendly lady, a gifted artist, and above all a woman of God. I am sorry I am away and can not be at her funeral.
Lord rest her saintly soul.
