Canon Fr. John Walsh,
Retired PP Aghamore, Ballyhaunis and Gurranebawn, Lavally, Tuam, Co. Galway - peacefully on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 in the wonderful care of the staff of Sonas Nursing Home, Knock.
Pre-deceased by his parents Michael & Bridget (Hillie), brother Richard and sister Ann.
Fr. John will be sadly missed by his brothers Paddy, Tommy, Mickie, Gerry, Seamus & Henry, his sisters Sr. Mary, Nellie & Carmel, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, Archbishop Francis Duffy, Retired Archbishop Michael Neary and all the priests of the Tuam Diocese, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May his kind and gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
Reposing in Gavin’s Funeral Home, Knox Street, Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, F35 WF22 on Thursday evening from 6 o'clock with removal at 8 o'clock to St. Joseph’s Church, Aghamore.
Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon followed by burial in the Church grounds.
