All I can think of is the Frank Sinatra song, "My Way." Larry was a man who worked hard building a business which has become known worldwide. Never letting adversity get in the way, Larry did it his way. By doing it his way, Larry created arguably one of the most stable local businesses and largest employers Kiltimagh has ever known. Larry would find a position within Genfitt for anyone who needed a job.
Larry was building his business when we were kids at Greyfield, but no matter how busy he was (I'm sure stressed too, he had a young family to provide for) he always had time to referee a football game when we would play in McEllin's yard, or he would make-up the numbers if one team was short. Memory's which are cherished by all kids from Greyfield.
Rest In Peace Larry. Your legacy will live on for generations.
Sad to hear of Larry's passing. When l was secretary of the East Mayo GAA Board, he was always very supportive of the board in the area of sponsorship. He was particularly so in supporting underage competitions. Indeed, we can't overlook his financial support of Mayo GAA teams in the past.
To his grieving wife Mary, his sons Laurence and Mark, his daughter Valerie, you can be assured that he has one from the kind thoughts of those who had the pleasure of sharing his company, to that Eternal Light and Life, which awaits the best.

I recently had the pleasure of being with Larry for a long lunch, we reminiscined about family and football and the famous day Sunday September 1963 when Larry was in goal for the Mayo minor day, I was at the match cheering them on.
Larry will be remembered by many, not just the hundreds he employed in Genfitt but by sport's fans far and wife.
