Eugene “Rufus” Gibbons,

Leixlip, Kildare and formerly of Cappaduff, Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo - peacefully after a short illness in St. Francis Hospice, Dublin on Tuesday, February 20th.

Predeceased by his parents Eddie and Carrie Gibbons of Cappaduff, Tourmakeady. 

Cherished father and deeply missed by daughter Stacey, son Martin and his partner Stephanie, their mother Mary, grandfather to Kayla and Sophie, beloved by their parents Cathal and Patrycja, heartbroken brothers Kenneth, Edward, Declan, sisters Patsy, Josephine, Noreen, Kathleen, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and his extended family and friends.

Sorely missed by the family of the late Ned O’Shea of Kerry, Dublin and Kildare.

Eugene will be reposing at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, Dublin on Thursday, February 22nd from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.

Sympathisers welcome at St. Mary’s Funeral Home in Tourmakeady on Friday, February 23rd from 5:30pm until 7:00pm.

Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 24th at 12 noon in St. Mary’s Church, Tourmakeady followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
