Mary Mahon nee Leonard,

Knockfarnaught, Lahardane, Ballina - peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Mayo Hospice, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her parents Laurence & Mollie.

Deeply mourned by her loving husband Sonny, daughters Máire and Deirdre and son Ciarán, brothers Tommy and JP, sisters Margaret Kennedy (Skreen), Patricia Gallagher (Killala), Barbara Telford (Dublin) and Breege O’Keeffe (Dublin), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at Leonards Funeral Home, Lahardane on Wednesday evening from 5.30pm with removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Lahardane at 7.30pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Addergoole Cemetery.

House strictly private.

No flowers by request.

She had great character and sense of humour. I’ll never forget her in her long black teachers cape and high heels as she walked around the classroom ag caint as gaeilge and making us laugh with some dry remark. Of course she’d end up laughing herself and that just set us all off. She was one of a kind.
