Sister Agnes Holmes, OP
Meadowview, Mount Vernon, New York and formerly of Ballymachola, Crossmolina, Co. Mayo - on 21st of August, peacefully in her ninety-third year in the loving care of her Dominican community in New York.
Sr Agnes emigrated to the US in 1951.
Sr Agnes is predeceased by her parents John and Mary Holmes, sisters Teenie (Clarke, Foxborough), Mary (McHale, Ballina), Sr Barbara (Dun Laoghaire), brothers Paddy (Farnoo, Ballina), Danny (Ballymachola), Francis (Knockmore), Michael (New Jersey), Eddie (Dublin), Gerard (Ballygar), nieces Mary l. McHale and Elizabeth Duffy and nephews John Holmes and Roger Holmes.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her brother James (New Jersey), nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Sr Agnes’s Requiem Mass and burial will take place on Friday, 15th September in New York.
