Máire Kelly Moore,

Aughagowla, Fahy, Westport and Castle Street, Castlebar - peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Mayo Hospice on 31th July 2023.

Predeceased by her father Seanie and father-in-law Paddy.

Deeply regretted by her heartbroken husband Patrick, son Cian, daughter Amy, her mother Teresa, brothers Tom and John, mother-in-law Mary Catherine, brothers-in-law John, Keith, Chris, Peter and Neil, sisters-in-law Maureen, Patricia, Noreen, Olivia, Gina, Mary and Catriona, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, work colleagues and friends.

May her gentle Soul rest in peace.

Máire will repose at Coady’s Funeral Home, Linenhall Street, Castlebar F23 XY63 on Thursday (3rd August) from 5pm with removal at 7pm to her residence (via Castle Street, Castlebar).

Removal from her residence on Friday morning at 9.45am for Requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, followed by burial afterwards in Fahy Cemetery.

Máire’s Funeral Mass will be streamed live at https://www.facebook.com/hawkeyeimageryireland or listened to in Castlebar on the Parish Radio Channel 105.3FM

Sad and shocked to hear of the passing of Marie. My sincere sympathy to her family and friends on her untimely passing. I have two particular memories of her. One from my 1st year in secondary school where at Castlebar swimming pool she helped me overcome my fear of water and by instilling in me the rudiments of the front crawl set me on a lifetime love of swimming. A couple of years later she gave me my first blond highlights when I emerged peevishly onto Castle Street looking like Billy Idol and a couple of years after that after a disastrous encounter with bleach she bestowed my crown with a good Gothic purple black colouring worthy of Robert Smith.
