Thomas Carey,

Gladree, Belmullet, Co. Mayo - peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar surrounded by his loving family on 9th January 2023.

Predeceased by his loving wife Mary (nee Dooley) and sisters Margaret Forde (Limerick) and Ann Conlon (Prosperous, Co. Kildare).

Beloved father of Mark, Annette, Brian, Marie, T.J., Finola, David, Raymond, Padraic, Jacinta and Aishling and dear grandfather to his twenty five adored grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters Mary Walsh (Drum, Clogher, Belmullet), Kathleen Lynskey (Rathmorgan, Bangor Erris), Sheila Healy (Castlebar), Sadie Carey (Cork) and Breege McShane (Dublin), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Wednesday evening from 5 o’clock until 8 o’clock.

Funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne, Belmullet on Thursday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Tarmoncarra Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to the ‘Belmullet Community Hospital Patient’s Comfort Fund’, c/o McDonnell Funeral Directors, Belmullet.
